This is a super antique hallmarked solid sterling silver cigarette box measuring 7 1/2″ (19 cms) across x 3 1/2″ (9 cms) x 2 1/4″ (5.5 cms) high and hallmarked for London 1903 with the silversmiths mark for Charles & Richard Comyns – it also has the retailers mark underneath for ‘Manoah Rhodes & Sons Ltd, Goldsmiths, Bradford’.
The silver is in very good condition with no damage at all.
Although this box would have originally been made to take cigarettes it would also make a great trinket or desk top box.
It is still nice and strong and inside is good and clean.
It weighs 478 grams and there are no inscriptions or monograms.
