Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Presentation Trowel 1851

This is a superb antique Victorian sterling silver presentation trowel measuring 14 1/2″ (37 cms) long x 4″ (10 cms) across and weighing 269 grams.
It’s clearly hallmarked for London 1851 with the makers mark for George William Adams and is in excellent condition.
It is inscribed
‘Presented to Willm Childs Webb Esquire, Mayor of Newport. In grateful acknowledgment of his laying the foundation stone of the New Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Risca, Monmouthshire, 2nd September 1851’
It has lovely engraved decoration with an armorial crest on the ornate handle.
