Antique George lV solid sterling silver baluster style mug/tankard.
It’s hallmarked for Birmingham 1821 with the makers mark for Spooner & Clowes.
It has a scroll handle with foliate decoration, the front is embossed with a scene of a hunting dog in landscape and is engraved ‘Thomas Dyke’.
It measures 6″ (15 cms) tall x 3 1/2″ (9 cms) across the top and weighs 346 grams which gives you an idea of the quality.
The condition is superb with no damage – any dark marks you can see are just reflections.
