Description

Antique Russian silver beaker measuring 3” (7.5 cms) tall and 2 1/2” (6 cms) across the top with engraved decoration and cartouche with stylised engraved initials.

It weighs 105 grams and is marked on the base with Cyrillic and 1891 which means it was made in Moscow in 1891 and marked by the assay master Lev Fridrikhovitch Oleks.

It also has the standard Russian silver hallmark 84, and there is also another maker’s mark for Aleksandr Frans Fan-der-Flit.

This very attractive beaker has engraving of flowers and foliage around most of the body, and it is in excellent original condition with no damage and having had no restoration.
