This is a top quality absolutely stunning antique Georgian sterling silver teapot in superb condition with beautiful decoration.
It has a capacity of 3 pints and measures 9 1/2” (24 cms) tall to the top of the knob x 10 1/4” (26 cms) across from the handle to the end of the spout and 6” (15 cms) in diameter.
It weighs 1267.7 grams which gives you an idea of the quality and the inside is nice and clean and ready to use.
It’s clearly hallmarked for London 1827 with the silversmiths mark for J.E.Terrey & Co and there are no inscriptions or monograms.
It is decorated all round with figural Chinese figures, flowers and birds – the handle and knob on the top both have a Chinese figure sitting on them and the spout is in the form of a fish.
The base is shaped and decorated in flowers and this is certainly one of the best teapots we have ever had.
