Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Tortoiseshell & Enamel Letter Knife 1866
Hallmarked for Birmingham 1866 with the silversmiths mark for John Gilbert.
This is an unusual antique Victorian letter opener with a super tortoiseshell handle inlaid with a blue enamel centre and pretty silver pique decoration and a sterling silver blade.
The blade is in very good condition with no damage and is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1866 with the silversmiths mark for John Gilbert.
The handle is also in great condition and the whole item measures 8″ (20 cms) long in total and is ready to use.
