This is a super antique Edwardian sterling silver trinket box on four legs measuring 3 1/2″ (9 cms) across x 3 3/4″ (9.5 cms) tall and hallmarked for London 1903 with the silversmiths mark for William Comyns.
The lid is embossed with a depiction of ‘The Music Lesson’ by Nicolas Lancret depicting a gentleman playing a lute to two ladies in a formal garden scene.
