This is a lovelyl antique cut glass vanity/powder jar with a sterling silver and tortoiseshell lid inlaid with pretty silver pique.
It measures 4" (10 cms) across the widest part x 1 3/4" (4.5 cms) high.
It's hallmarked for Birmingham 1930 with the silversmiths mark for the Adie Brothers Ltd.
The whole item is lovely and in great condition with no damage or repairs.
