This is a super antique Victorian sterling silver photo frame measuring 7 3/4" (19.5 cms) across x 6 1/4" (16 cms) tall with the opening measuring 6" (15 cms) x 4 1/4" (11 cms).
It’s hallmarked for Birmingham 1897 with the silversmiths mark for Henry Matthews.
It has a pretty pierced decoration of flowers and is quite unusual being in the landscape style.
It has a beige colour velvet backing and backstand with some marks (see photos) but otherwise in very good conditionand working perfectly well.
This frame will come in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity.
