This is an antique Edwardian hallmarked sterling silver pierced top box measuring 2 3/4” (7 cms) across x 2" (5 cms) and just over 1” (3 cms) high.
The pierced decoration on the lid shows a classical Greek or Roman scene.
It weighs 55.5 grams / 1.7 troy oz and is hallmarked for London 1905 with the silversmiths mark for William Comyns.
This is a lovely box which is gilded inside and the whole item is in excellent condition.
