This is a super antique Victorian sterling silver sovereign case measuring 1 1/4" (3 cms) across.
It's hallmarked for Birmingham 1898 with the silversmiths mark for Minshull & Latimer.
It's in super condition with no inscriptions or monograms and weighs 14.5 grams.
The area inside springs as it should and any marks you can see on the silver are just reflections - the coin does not come with the case it is for show purposes only.
