This is an unusual antique Edwardian sterling silver sovereign case with a separate removable section which holds the sovereigns.
It measures 1 1/4″ (3 cms) across and the case is hallmarked for Birmingham 1907 and the liner for 1908 - it shows the silversmiths mark for Cohen & Charles and the retailers stamp on the rim of 'Asprey, London'.
It's in excellent condition and weighs 20 grams / 0.6 troy oz.
There are no inscriptions or monograms. and the liner inside slides in and out as it should - the coin does not come with the case it is for show purposes only.
