This is a very pretty antique German silver caddy with a pull off lid measuring 3 1/2″ (9 cms) across x 2 1/2″ (7 cms) deep x 5″ (11 cms) tall and in superb condition with no damage or repairs.
It was made c1880 by Storck & Sinsheimer and is particularly attractive having a scene on one side of a girl filling a cup from a samovar while a bird watches on and on the other side is a man smoking a long pipe.
The rest of it is vigorously decorated with floral and swag embossing and the lid has a pineapple finial.
It weighs 288 grams and there are no inscriptions or monograms.
