This is a lovely antique hallmarked solid sterling silver cigarette box with a tortoiseshell lid inlaid with silver pique measuring 5″ (12.5 cms) x 3 1/2″ (9 cms) x 2″ (5 cms) high.
Although this box would have originally been made to take cigarettes it would also make a great trinket or desk top box.
It is nice and strong, inside is clean and it weighs 335 grams.
It’s hallmarked for Birmingham 1918 and there are no inscriptions or monograms.
