Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Butter Dish 18747362
This is a beautiful antique Victorian sterling silver dish with blue glass liner measuring 4″ (10 cms) across x 2 1/4″ (6 cms) high to the rim.
The silver is absolutely lovely showing scenes of cows laying in fields and being milked surrounded by trees and flowers – the silver alone weighs 154.8 grams.
It’s hallmarked for London 1874 with the silversmiths mark for George Lambert and is also marked underneath ‘Lambert, Coventry St, London’ .
The whole item is in excellent condition and was probably originally made as a butter dish.
