This is a super antique Victorian box made around the 1860's from beautiful figured walnut with multiple applied brass decoration which culminates in a central cartouche of the head of a pharaoh which is made of bronze.
It measures 11" (28 cms) wide x 5" (12.5 cms) x 3 1/2" (9 cms) and is in excellent condition with no damage at all to either the wood or the brass..
Inside is simply lined with decorative paper, and it would be useful as a desktop item, or on a dressing table.
