Antique Victorian Walnut Document Box c1860

This is a lovely antique walnut document box measuring 11" (28 cms) x 8" (20 cms) x 6" (15 cms) high and in wonderful original condition.

The top has the most amazing large brass cartouche which has shined up brilliantly and the front has an equally stunning brass escutcheon.

It comes with the original key and inside it is lined in beautiful swirly pattern paper, the type that is used inside the cover of antique books.

This lovely box is clean and undamaged and absolutely ready for use as a document box, jewellery box or as a desktop tidy.

The walnut is bright and shiny, and a lovely colour.
